Also shot 39.4 (50-for-127) percent from the floor and 37.0 (27-of-73) percent from beyond the arc in 20 games... Scored a career-high 16 points against Boise State (1/2/19) and grabbed a career-high eight rebounds against UNLV (1/5/19)... Scored in double figures seven times and grabbed six more rebounds four times during his freshman campaign.

High School: Originally from Owensboro, Ky., and played his high school basketball at North Hardin High School in Kentucky... Coming out of high school, Young had recruiting interest from DePaul, Kansas State, UMass, South Florida, Texas Tech and USC... Coming out of Mt. Zion Prep he had recruiting interest from Georgia Tech, Maryland, Memphis, Texas Tech and Rutgers... Averaged 15 points per game at Mt. Zion Prep and grabbed five rebounds per game. During his time at Mt. Zion, he scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds as Mt. Zion knocked off the top-ranked team in the country, Brewster Academy (11/19/17).
