Mardracus Wade begins his second season as an assistant coach at Alabama State. He came to Alabama State after serving in the same role under Hornets' head coach Tony Madlock at South Carolina State.

After graduating from Hargrave Military Academy in 2010, Wade played four years at guard at the University of Arkansas. While at Arkansas, he was finished in the top eight in school history in steals and in the top 20 in made three-pointers.

Upon his graduation with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in writing/drame, he played three seasons in the NBA G- League with the Iowa Wolves and the Greensboro Swarm.   In 2017, Wade traveled internationally and played point guard for the Germany Nurnberg Falcons BC team and had opportunities to play in both China and Taiwan.  

After returning home to Memphis (Tenn.), he continued his passion of basketball by serving as a coach for the Hoop City Basketball Club (formerly M33M), coaching all ages season round.   

In 2019, while pursuing his Master’s degree, he accepted a Graduate Assistant position under Coach Penny Hardaway at Memphis, He graduated with his Master’s degree in Sport Commerce in May 2021.
