Hannah White joined the Alabama State Cross Country and Track and Field Staff for the 2024-25 season and is in her first year.
White’s most recent stop was at Mississippi University for Women's (MUW) where she was the assistant Cross Country and Track & Field coach for the men's and women's teams, served as the head student-athlete advisory committee advisor, and the Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID). While at MUW White coached a USCAA runner-up and multiple school records in the throws.
White attended Ottawa University-Arizona for one year, where she participated in basketball and track. As a freshman at OUAZ, White set the record for women's shot put, discus, and hammer throw, and was a three-time NCCAA All-American.
After one year at Ottawa, White transferred to Jackson State University (fall of 2018), where she continued her track & field career. At JSU, White was a five-time Southwest Athletic Conference champion and a five-time SWAC runner-up in the throws. She set the SWAC record for the indoor shot put. White was a two-time NCAA Woman of the Year nominee and SWAC's 2021 Woman of the Year.
White made the JSU Dean's and President's lists and joined multiple honors societies. She was also recognized on the SWAC All-Academic Team. She was the Tigers' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President for two years, interned for Academics and Student-Athlete Development, and worked as a graduate assistant at the football stadium.
White earned a Bachelor of Science degree in recreation administration from Jackson State in the spring of 2021, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She holds a master's degree in sports management from JSU.
