Allison Barbee will be entering her second season for the 2017-2018 academic year with Alabama State University as a graduate assistant softball coach.
Barbee was an associate softball coach with the Tennessee White Lightning in Knoxville, Tenn. where she helped the 18-under ASA "A" team to a WFC National Championship, a runners-up finish in the ASA State tournament and a top 60 ranking in the ASA nationals.
In her second season, the team also won the Big Orange Showcase in Knoxville, Tenn. and was ranked in the top 9 in the ASA nationals. Several players have gone on to sign national letters of intent to play softball at the collegiate level under her guidance.
Previously, she was also intern at the NCCAA in Greenville, South Carolina, responsible for nominating student-athletes of the week, proofreading, organization and social media.
As a player, she was a four-year starter and two-year captain at Southern Wesleyan University where she was the first in school history to collect 200 career hits.
She also ranks the top in school history for at bats (645), games played (207), games started (203), runs (146), home runs (39), and RBI (180). A Second Team NCCAA All-American, Barbee was a multiple-time all-conference selection.
Barbee received her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Recreational and Sports Management in May of 2015 at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina.
