Brittanie Talley

Brittanie Talley will be entering her third season for the 2015-2016 academic year with the Alabama State softball team. 

In 2015, coach Talley served as an volunteer assistant, working primarily with pitchers' technique and administrative tasks within the program.  

Under her watch, Chelsea King was the recipient of three awards including Pitcher of the Year, Freshman of the Year and All-SWAC First Team for pitcher.

Junior Carly Evans was also a big winner, garnering both the Newcomer of the Year award and an All-SWAC First Team selection at first base. 

Joining King and Evans on the All-SWAC First Team were outfielders Valerie Centeno and Jenna Mae Thorne.

Junior Aleesa Yanez scooped up an All-SWAC Second Team nod at the catcher position.
Talley spent the 2014 season as an assistant softball coach with the Lady Hornets offering her specific knowledge on pitching. 
 
Prior to ASU, she served as a scout in softball camps from Texas, Guatemala and Florida. 
 
In 2011, Talley played professionally for the Skövde Saints in Skövde, Sweden, winning a Swedish League Championship and was named the Swedish League Pitcher of the Year.  During that same year, she was the pitching coach for the Swedish National Team in the European Championships. 
 
During the 2011-12 season, she was the graduate assistant for the softball team at Southern Arkansas University of the Gulf South Conference. 
 
As a graduate from Jackson State University in 2010, Talley earned her Bachelors of Science degree in health, physical education and recreation. 

As a player, she earned a Preseason All-SWAC and Second Team All-SWAC nods during that same year. 

Originally from San Antonio, TX, Talley graduated from Ronald Reagan High School and was a 2005 All-District and All-Area Super Team selection.
