Casey Durham begins her third year at Alabama State as a volunteer assistant coach under head coach Todd Bradley in 2022-23.
During her first season as an assistant, she helped the team to a 10-15 record overall when the season was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Alabama State was hitting .273 as a team, with four hitters over .300 including Alexis Sydnor at .449. The team was also pitching at a 5.40 earned run average through 154.1 innings in the circle.

Durham played in 40 games with 34 starts, including a pair of starts in the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional, last season and recorded a slash line of .276/.343/.304.
In 2018 Durham batted at a .319 clip, led the team with 10 doubles, homered three times and drove home 23 runs in 53 games. The Lady Hornets fell just shy of winning the conference championship, falling to Prairie View A&M by a run in the winner-take-all contest.
She joined the Alabama State softball team after two years at Tallahassee Community College, where she batted over the .300 mark and earned Coaches’ All-Panhandle Conference honors her sophomore season.
The McDonough, Ga., native prepped at Eagles Landing Christian Academy, where she helped lead the team to back-to-back state championships. Her senior season, she was named the Georgia Coaches’ Association (GACA) State Player of the Year and earned both Region and Henry County Player of the Year honors.
Durham graduated from Alabama State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing in December 2019.
