Hunter Allen

Hunter Allen enters his second season as an assistant coach for the 2019-20 season, after helping lead the Lady Hornets to the 2019 SWAC championship and the Tuscaloosa Regional.

He began his coaching career following a successful career as a catcher for the Hornet’s baseball program. The Orange City, Fla. native hit .297 in 2018 and collected six home runs en route to a second team All-SWAC selection.

Hunter played alongside a deep pool of talent. His former teammates include Brenden Rodgers (professional), Deacon Liput (Florida), Ryal Olenek (Ole Miss), Drew Penden (Florida Atlantic), Frankie Martello (Flagler), Justin Franklin (Embry Riddle), Dominic Jencola (Embry Riddle), Nick Fortes (Ole Miss) and Michael Harkcom (Florida International).

Allen graduated from Alabama State in 2018 with a Criminal Justice degree.Â
