Justin Anderson

Justin Anderson enters his first year as sprints hurdles and relays coach under Head Coach Ritchie Beene at Alabama State University.

His most recent stop was spent one year as sprints hurdles and jumps coach at the University of South Carolina Upstate.

Before South Carolina Upstate, Anderson spent a very successful tenure at Iowa Central Community College. He served primarily as sprints relays and hurdles coach from 2017-2021 and one year with horizontals during that stretch. In addition to the track he played roles in on campus student development, academic advising and recruiting.

He was an integral part of continuing the success of the program while helping the team to capture two consecutive team National Championships in 2019 and 2020. He was also recognized on 3 different occasion as USTFCCCA NJCAA Region XI Coach of the Year. His success was highlighted on the track with a national record holder in the women’s 100mh.

In addition to the track, Anderson played roles in on-campus student development, academic advising and recruiting. Anderson came to Fort Dodge, Iowa after a short stint at Coffeyville Community College where his collegiate coaching career began.

Anderson, who is a native of Jacksonville, Fla., began as a student athlete at Barton community college in 2008 before transferring to Texas Southern University.
