ASU Women's Basketball Triple Overtime Thriller

MONTGOMERYTanika Jackson came off the bench to score a game-high 24 points as the Lady Hornets outlasted the Devilettes in the team's first-ever triple-overtime game.

Erica Lumpkin's 3-pointer with 2:26 to play in the third overtime gave ASU (10-12, 7-4 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference) the lead for good.

 

Lumpkin came off the bench to score 14 points, all of them in overtime. She made three pointers at the end of the first overtime (at the buzzer) and second overtime (with 4 seconds remaining) to extend the game.

 

Mississippi Valley State (7-16, 4-7) initially forced overtime on Colby Stallings' three-pointer with :05 to play.

 

Ashley Brown scored team-high 22 points for the Devilettes.
