MONTGOMERY — Despite a late rally, the Alabama State University baseball team suffered a 12-9 loss at Kennesaw State on Tuesday evening.
The Hornets (15-22) fell behind 11-2 after three innings before slowly chipping away at KSU's lead. Bama State's last charge included a five run eighth inning performance.
Jeremy Adams aided the ASU comeback attempt after allowing just one run in five and two-third innings of relief work. Five different Hornets recorded a pair of hits in the contest led by
Josh Clemons, who finished with a team-best three RBI.
Alabama State hosts SWAC rival Jackson State in a three-game series this weekend at Paterson Field. The ASU-JSU series opener is slated for Saturday at 1 p.m.
