After a close game one, when head coach Sonia Price saw her squad go down by as many as four points, the Lady Hornets seized the match with dominating victories in games two and three.
Game one both teams were neck and neck of each other, ASU finally capitalizing the win 26-24 and pulling out a 25-21 win in game two.
“It took all of the first game to get used to what Albany State was doing out there,” Price said. “Once we did, we never lost control of the match. It was great to get some of our reserves some time on the court and the thing that I liked the most about that time when they were out there, was that our play never fell off.”
The Lady Hornets return to the floor on Saturday for a SWAC match-up with Eastern Division foe Jackson State. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m.
