Fans can follow the game with live stats at bamastatesports.com.

“We are always excited about playing at home,” stated Assistant Head Women's Basketball Coach Clayton Harris.  “We are expecting to play well since we have some of our key players back in rotation.  We are also looking to put a string of games together.  Mobile has good ball club.   Their best player Alice Honnery averages double-double figures.  They also have other very experienced players and we will have our work cut out for us.  Mobile has already played seven games to our three so if we do the things that we are suppose to do, we shouldn't have any problems winning the ball game.”

Alabama State has a 1-2 record overall winning its last game against Nicholls State.  ASU defeated Nicholls 61-57 last Monday afternoon.

The Lady Hornets are currently being led by freshman Danielle Gazaway with a 14.3 ppg., average.  Millicent Jones leads the team in rebounding with a 7.7 rpg., mark.

The Rams are led in scoring by Honnery with 14.9 ppg., average.  She also leads the squad in rebounding with a 12.9 rpg., mark.  Mobile has a 2-5 record overall.

This will be the fourth meeting between the two schools.  Alabama State leads the overall series 2-1.  Last season, the Lady Hornets won over the Rams, 55-37.
