A Look Back at Women's Basketball

(Note:  This is one of a series of stories looking back on the best games/performances/contest of the 2010-11 Alabama State Athletic Season)

The Alabama State women's basketball team defeated Jackson State 45-43 in a pivotal game on March 3, 2011, solidifying a berth in the SWAC Tournament. 

 

The Lady Hornets produced a quality first half of play, leading by 12 points, 26-14, at halftime.  The efforts of Taila Arrington's quick hands scored six points off of fast breaks.

 

Coming out in the second half, the Lady Hornets increased their lead to 14 before holding on for the victory.

 

Tamara Wadlington led ASU with 13 points, five rebounds and two assists.  Arrington finished with 10 points, and Tanika Jackson scored eight points and had 10 rebounds.
