ORLANDO – The Alabama State football team had its final walkthrough practice Saturday afternoon at Citrus Bowl prior to Sunday's season-opener vs. Bethune-Cookman.

th edition of the MEAC-SWAC Challenge between the Hornets and Wildcats on Sunday is just after 11 a.m. CT/Noon ET (WVAS 90.7 FM/HSRN.com./ESPN). The Hornets had a walkthrough practice late in the day the game site, dotting I's and crossing T's before Sunday's clash.
“We had good energy and enthusiasm; I think they're all excited about the opportunity to play,” head coach
Reggie Barlow said of the practice. “We're looking forward to it; it won't be long now. They were really dialed in, and that's important to me. I think that's a direct correlation to their focus tomorrow. I think they're in tune with everything, and are energized and ready to go.”
Alabama State arrived here Friday shortly before noon and attended several official functions in conjunction with the game. The Hornets will go through their usual day-before game routine of dinner and meetings tonight.
“I want them to really think about seizing the moment,” Barlow said of the things he wants his team to focus on in the hours leading to kickoff. “This is a grand stage on national television and it should be fun.”
