The Alabama State University Lady Hornets Basketball team will play host to the Rattlers of Florida A&M at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome Tuesday at 6p.m.
The Lady Hornets are looking to rebound from a loss to Mississippi State University 49-75 in Starkville, Miss.
"We've been preparing for FAMU in between finals," said head coach Freda-Freeman Jackson. "They are an extremely aggressive team that can get to the basket and can make jumpers."
Alabama State will also look to extend their home court win streak to five games after last defeating Samford University 44-40 in overtime action.
ASU will enter this contest 4-2 overall and are led by
Quentori Alford, after five games averaging 10.2 points per contest. Alford also leads the team on the boards with 9.7 rebounds per game.
Florida A&M will enter the game 6-5 overall and are led by Jasmine Grice, who is averaging 22.8 points per game. Grice also leads the team in rebounds averaging 6.1 per game.
"We need to play solid defense and we must contain their top scorer Grice, who is averaging almost 23 points a game in order to come out with the win," said Freeman-Jackson."
