"Samford is a team that did a job on us last year," head coach
Freda Freeman-Jackson said. "They play Samford basketball (this team likes to go back door and they can shoot the lights out of the ball). We are going to have to do a really good job playing the perimeter and making sure that they don't go back door on us. We have had plenty of time to prepare for them. We just need to make sure that we do the things that we do and that we have discipline."
"They have been averaging 55 points per game so we need to make sure that we reduce that number and do what we need to do on the offensive end. I think that the girls are really eager to get back on the court."
