The Lady Hornets  basketball team of Alabama State have been working on basic fundamentals that will prepare them for their upcoming game on Dec. 6 against Western Kentucky.
 
Coach Freda Freeman-Jackson feels that if her team can get the basic fundamentals down as a group, then they can work together more efficiently on both ends of the court.
 
"It's always good to just take a moment and break down the basic fundamentals of basketball," said Freeman-Jackson.  "I have a young group of girls and I feel that in other for us to play better basketball, we have to go back to the basics so that we can be a sound group, play solid and minimize our mistakes."
 
The ladies will have a few days off before they get back to the drawing board on Monday.  They will practice the remainder of the week before they leave to go to Bowling Green, Kentucky on Friday.
