Huntsville, Ala. —The Alabama State University Soccer team suffered a tough 2-0 semifinal loss to Prairie View A&M at the 2014 Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament at the John Hunt Soccer Complex.

The Lady Hornet were riding an eight-game winning streak heading into tonight's matchup, having high hopes of returning to their second consecutive conference final but, could not withstand several late goals by the Panthers offense.

"Tonight was a tough loss," said head coach Jodie Smith.

"Our ladies played hard all match but, we could not capitalize on several key moments throughout the contest which resulted in the 2-0 loss to Prairie View."

Kylee Hathaway finished the match with a game high eight saves for ASU.
