The Lady Hornets have faced the Yellow Jackets only three times since the inception of the program. All three times were at Georgia Tech, the first time coming December 30, 2005 falling 76-46 and the last time on December 29, 2013 (99-58).

Alabama State will enter Wednesdays contest with a 3-4 record after sliding by Bluefield State in a 82-73 win, led by the efforts of sophomore
Britney Wright (20 points) and
Jasmine Peeples, who scored 19 points.Â

Peeples leads the Lady Hornets on the boards averaging 8.6 rebounds per game and averages 10.9 points with 20 block shots to add to her season numbers. Â
Wright leads the squad in scoring averaging 13.0 points per contest. Sophomore
Daniele Ewert adds 7.9 points a contest for Alabama State.

Georgia Tech will enter the contest with a 6-4 record after defeating Central Arkansas 88-50Â
Sunday at the McCamish Pavilion. The Yellow Jackets are led in scoring by sophomore forward Kaela Davis, which is averaging 18.2 points after 10 games, while teammate senior guard Sydney Wallace is scoring 14.2 points. Roddreka Rogers is leading the team in rebounds with 9.8 per contest.
"This is always a competitive game for us," said head coachÂ
Freda Freeman-Jackson. "We know that Georgia Tech is a good team, they are big. All we can do is come in and play our game to the best of our ability. We are going to come in and compete and play defense."
