STOCKTON, Calif. – The Alabama State baseball team will continue its six-game, week-long road trip Friday when the Hornets begin a four-game series at the University of Pacific.

Friday's game is at 8 p.m., with Saturday's doubleheader at 3 and 8 p.m., and Sunday's game at 3 p.m. (all times central). All games this weekend will be broadcast live via internet radio at bamastatesports.com/showcase. Live stats and a free live video link will be available on gameday central.

The Hornets (4-1) arrived in Northern California Thursday afternoon after beginning the week with road wins at South Alabama Tuesday (5-0) and Auburn Wednesday (9-3). It was Alabama State's first win in 11 meetings over the Jaguars, and first win in eight meetings over Auburn.

ASU now turns the page and focuses on Pacific (2-3) of the West Coast Conference. The Tigers opened their home schedule with a 2-1 win over San Jose Wednesday night.

Alabama State began its four-game winning streak this past Saturday with an 8-2 win against Eastern Kentucky. During the streak, the Hornets are averaging just over eight runs per game with production throughout the lineup. CF Richard Amion has been the spark at the top of the lineup, batting .571 (8-for-14) during the streak with eight runs scored, one home run, a pair of triples and four RBI.

Pitching and defense have been just as impressive, as the Hornets are allowing just two runs a game over the last four contests. In Tuesday's win at South Alabama, five pitchers combined for a five-hit shutout. Alabama State had gone more than 20 innings without allowing a run until the sixth inning Wednesday at Auburn. A total of six ASU pitchers combined to limit Auburn to five hits.

Following the weekend series at Pacific, Alabama State will begin an 11-game homestand Tuesday against Youngstown State at 6 p.m.
