Box Score STOCKTON, Calif. – The Alabama State baseball team lost game one of its four-game series at Pacific 8-2 Friday night at Klein Family Field.
The Hornets fell behind 4-0 after the first three innings, but cut the deficit in half in the middle innings.
Branden Castro's first home run of the season in the fifth put the Hornets on the board.
In the sixth, Alabama State took advantage of a pair of errors on the same play to score.
Richard Amion led off with a single to left field. After a groundout,
Cesar Rivera reached on a fielding error, allowing Amion to score from second to cut Pacific's lead to 4-2.
However, the Tigers extended its margin with a run in the sixth, and three more in the eighth.
