MONTGOMERY- The Alabama State University women's tennis team defeated Delaware State today at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Complex by a score of 6-1.
The Lady Hornets started out the day 0-1 in points after falling to DSU in doubles action. That would be Delaware State's only lead as ASU would go on and sweep all six singles matches for the win and the final score of 6-1.
"I'm glad we won today's match" said head coach
Anuk Christiansz. "I would have been happier if we picked up the doubles point but, we look at it as a win for us which is good for our confidence and the direction we would like to go with this program."
Alabama State will next compete on Wednesday, March 12
th against Texas State at home in the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Complex, the match will begin at 1:30 p.m.
