th contest between these schools, Alabama State will look to increase their win record as Alcorn leads the overall series 53-21. Earlier in the season, the Lady Hornets defeated the Lady Braves 54-45 at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.

"This is crucial game and defense is going to have to be the key. We are going to have to stop people in order to have any continued success for us," said Head Coach
Freda Freeman-Jackson. "It's always tough on the road, but we would like to finish up strong for the remainder of the season."

Alcorn State is led in scoring by Norianna Haynes, who is averaging 13.1 ppg. Alabama State has two back-to-back SWAC Players of theWeek for the last four weeks. Brittney Wright is second in the league in scoring averaging 15.8 points per contest, while
Jasmine Peeples is second on the team is scoring (11.5) and is the top rebounder (10.1) and shot blocker (3.3) in the league. She is 12
th in the nation with 72blocked shots.Â
