Neither ran, nor wind nor tornado watches could stop the Alabama State Football "Swarm and Sting" Tour when it made its first stop in Dothan, Alabama. A full room listened intently to Head Football Coach Brian Jenkins as he talked about his team and what the team is doing this spring to prepare for the 2015 season. Â
Talking about his adjustment to the team Jenkins said "The reception has been wonderful and the adjustment by me and the coaching staff along with everyone else has been good."
Â
"The players have made an adjustment and have really bought in and that's a good thing. Everyone has accepted what needs to be done and everyone has accepted our plan that we have put in place and the transition has been really good."
Â
Among the ASU alumni at the event were Locy Baker, ASU's Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Linda Garrett, who is the Dothan Chapter President of the National Alumni Association.
Â
"I thought (tonight) was awesome," Garrett said. "I was very impressed with Coach and the depth of his commitment. He is such an awesome young man whose life experiences I think, adds to his ability to lead our young men to living victoriously and to bring a winning attitude to our program."
Â
The "Swarm and Sting" Tour will continue Tuesday, April 21 when they travel to Birmingham. The event will take place at the Parthenon and will begin at 6 p.m.
