Fresh off its win Saturday against Jackson State, the Alabama State volleyball team are in Texas for a two game road swing beginning with Texas Southern tonight at 6:30 p.m. and Prairie View on Tuesday for another 6:30 p.m. match.

The Lady Hornets enter tonight's game with a couple of players who made a huge impact in ASU's recent win over JSU. Junior
Briana Dorsey, who leads the team in kills with 136, recorded 16 kills in State's win over the Lady Tigers. Freshman
Bayle Bennett also made her presence felt with her first double-double of the season with 10 kills and 10 digs.

Jamie Coleman, who has shored up the ASU defense this season, leads ASU in digs with 215 she needs 30 kills to move to the number three spot of all time dig leaders (820).

Texas Southern currently sits in first place on the western side of the conference with a 9-8 overall record, along with a perfect 5-0 SWAC record. Kali Fluke leads the Lady Tigers offense with 173 kills, while Asia Howard has run the offense dishing out 216 assists.

Priaire View enters Tuesdays contest sitting in third place of the western division with a 3-2 conference mark and 4-11 overall record.Â

Larissa Martinez leads the Panthers in kills with 115 and she is followed by Randi Hunter, who has tallied 69 kills. Christen Augustine leads the PV defense with 346 digs.
