RUSTON, LA – The Alabama State men's basketball team was bitten by the turnover bug as the Hornets committed 25 on the night and fell at Louisiana Tech 87-56 on Wednesday night at the Thomas Assembly Center.
Alabama State (0-3) trailed 41-33 at the break and couldn't quite find a consistent offensive rhythm as the team shot just 36 percent from the floor.Â
Torloft Thomas and
Mikel Tyson each scored 12 points to pace the Hornets while
Reginald Gee came off the bench to knock down 3-of-5 shots from downtown to score nine points in 15 minutes of action.Â
But Tech (1-1) had the hot shooting touch, making 50 percent of their shots and had four players reach double digits in scoring.Â
ASU did a respectful job on the boards, pulling even at 36 all with Tech as a team.Â
Next, Alabama State will get a little break from games before traveling to take on Kennesaw State on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Â
