MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returns home after a three-game road swing, hosting South Alabama in non-conference action Tuesday night at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.

Tip is set for 7 pm between the in-state foes, the third Alabama State will face this month.

Alabama State (1-5) enters the game after dropping a pair of games to Stephen F. Austin and Southern Miss at the Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classic last week.
Courtney Lee led Alabama State with a career-high 10 points in a loss to Stephen F. Austin, while
Kayla Stephens posted a game-high eight in the loss to Southern Miss to cap off the week's play.
Shamyiah Smith leads the Lady Hornets in scoring and assists through the first six games of the season, averaging 8.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Preseason First-Team All-Conference selection,
Tatyana Calhoun, leads Alabama State averaging 5.8 rebounds and one block per game.

Meanwhile, South Alabama (3-1) enters Tuesday night after defeating North Carolina 85-84 a week ago, and New Orleans 67-45. In the win over New Orleans, Antoinette Lewis scored 18 points and Chyna Ellis recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
The Lady Jags are led by Savannah Jones at 15 points per game, while Ellis is averaging 14.8 and Lewis 10 through the team's first four games. Ellis also leads in the rebounding category, averaging 10.5 per game.

The meeting will be the 27th all-time between South Alabama and Alabama State, with South Alabama winning the last meeting 47-43 in 2015 at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
