MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Alabama State University volleyball team will play their final home match Monday night inside Lockhart Gymnasium, facing Jackson State University with the match scheduled for a 7 pm start.

Alabama State (24-9, 17-0 SWAC) looks to complete their second consecutive undefeated regular season in conference play, as they have run their conference-winning streak to 38 consecutive matches. The last loss for Alabama State against a conference foe came against Jackson State in the 2015 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) championship match.

The Lady Hornets, who find themselves in the midst of an eight-match winning streak, are also 12-3 at home this season with their last home loss coming at the hands of the University of Alabama back on October 12.

Alabama State sits atop the conference in eight statistical categories this season, and currently third in the nation team kills with 1,493 this season. They are also sitting fifth in the nation in service aces (173), sixth in assists (1,364) and eighth in opponent's hitting percentage (.148). They are also 14th in country in total attacks (3,981) and 15th overall in total blocks (258.5).

Individually,
Briana Dorsey is 19th in the nation in hitting percentage (.406), while she is also 38th in total blocks (115) and 69th in points (395.0). Meanwhile,
Ni'yesha Brown is 19th in total attacks (1,110), 24th in points (440.5), 26th in service aces (38) and 29th in total kills (381).

The two teams have met one time this season with Alabama State claiming a 3-1 (15-25,25-17,25-19,25-11) victory on the road after the Tigers claimed the first set.
