TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | The Alabama State University volleyball team fell to Florida A&M in a tough five-set match 3-2 (22-25,26-24,14-25,29-27,11-15) in non-conference action Wednesday night to close the regular season.

Ni'yesha Brown close the regular season with another 20-plus kill performance this season, recording 21 in the loss. She finished the night hitting .528 with just two errors on 36 total attempts.
Bayle' Bennett finished with 14 kills, while hitting .281 for the Lady Hornets who finished the night with 61 kills.
Briana Dorsey finished with nine kills and a .500 attack percentage on the night with just one error.

Kori Kutsch and
Justus Tuiolosega combined for 50 of the team's 56 assists, and assisted on all but 11 kills on the night for the Lady Hornets. Kutsch finished with 26, while Tuiolosega added 24.

Bennett recorded another double-double on the season, as she added 15 digs, while
Asha Daniels led the way with 16. The Lady Hornets recorded 13 total blocks on the night, with Dorsey and
Candace Martin leading the way four each.

Nicole Abreau led Florida A&M (11-11) with 24 kills, while Candelaria Herrera added 22 and Maria Yvette Garcia 10 in the Rattlers' victory. Valeria Lopez recorded a match-high 50 assists and Valentina Carrasco posted a match-high 18 digs.

Alabama State (25-10) turns its focus to the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Championship Tournament, which begins next Friday. The Lady Hornets will be search of their second consecutive conference title, and will put their 39-match conference winning streak on the line in the three-day event.
