MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Alabama State University women's tennis team swept through singles play en route to a 4-0 victory over Alabama A&M on the second day of the ASU Invitational held at the
Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center on the Saturday afternoon.
Reka Szentes breezed through her singles match at number one singles with 6-0,6-2 over Alabama A&M's
Virag Hollos; while
Marine Cartier lost just one game in her 6-1, 6-0 victory over Beatriz
Guiterrez. The final win of the day in singles came when Mirna Curic finished off singles play when she defeated Alyssa Williams 6-1, 6-1.
The Lady Hornets were able to start the day with the first point when they won two of the three doubles matches, before the final match was halted to begin singles play.
Alabama State returns to action Jacksonville State University at 1 pm Sunday afternoon in the final day of the Alabama State Invitational at the
Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
