JACKSON, Miss. – The Alabama State University women's tennis team finished off their undefeated run at the SWAC Roundup hosted by Jackson State University, defeating the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff 4-0 in their final match of the weekend.
Alabama State (7-4, 4-0 SWAC) used one victory in doubles to grab the point after a default at number three, before the team of
Gabriela Lackova and
Marija Blazevic claimed a 6-0 victory at number two doubles to grab the 1-0 match lead.
The Lady Hornets were up 2-0 when the claimed two other singles victories by
Reka Szentes at number one (6-0, 6-0) and Lackova at number two singles (6-0, 6-0).
Alabama State returns to action March 12 at home against the University of New Orleans.
