MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University women's tennis team won their second consecutive match at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Roundup, defeating Alcorn State 4-0 at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center Friday afternoon.
The Lady Hornets clinched the doubles point to go up 1-0 when the number one and three teams claimed wins; with
Reka Szentes and
Marine Cartier winning at number one (6-4), while
Mirna Curcic and
Gabriela Lackova won at number three (6-1).
In singles play, the Lady Hornets won matches at number one (Szentes), two (Cartier) and four (Lackova) to finish the sweep - as she won her match after being down 5-2 in the first set.
