MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University women's tennis team remained unbeaten in conference play with a decisive 4-0 victory over Mississippi Valley State University in the SWAC Roundup at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center Friday morning.
Alabama State (8-7, 6-0 SWAC) dropped just one point the entire match as they swept through each match that was played. The Lady Hornets took the doubles point with a pair of 6-0 victories by the number one team of
Reka Szentes and
Marine Cartier; while the number three team of
Jovana Parlic and
Nicole Tekelova also won 6-0.
In singles play, the Lady Hornets claimed three 6-0, 6-0 victories by Cartier (at number two),
Gabriela Lackova (at number three) and Tekelova (at number six) to finish off the match.
