MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University women's tennis team celebrated Senior Day by winning their final regular season match to finish the conference season undefeated with a 4-0 victory over Alabama A&M at the SWAC Roundup held at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
 
Alabama State (11-7, 9-0 SWAC) used two easy wins in doubles play to gain the first point of the match, when the number three team of Mirna Curcic and Gabriela Lackova picked up a 6-1 victory at number three; followed by a 6-4 victory by the Lady Hornets' number two team of Brankica Orlovic and Marija Blazevic.
 
Needing just three points to finish the conference season undefeated, the Lady Hornets got them from the bottom of the order in their final home match.
 
Lackova finished the weekend undefeated with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Alyssa Williams at number four; while Blazevic claimed a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Jazmine Lawson at number six. Curcic was the first player off in singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Shrarre Smith at number five.
