Walker leads the Lady Hornets in scoring this season, averaging 9.8 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. She is shooting 30.1 (25-of-83) percent from the floor and 22.6 (7-of-31) percent from beyond the arc, while shooting 87.5 (21-of-24) percent at the free throw line. Meanwhile,
Calhoun averages 7.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
Briana Green leads Southern (6-9, 5-1 SWAC) at 13.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, while Samantha Duncan is averaging 11.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. The Jaguars have won the past three consecutive games, including a 71-52 victory over UAPB in their last outing.
The Lady Hornets will stay on the road, heading to Mississippi to face Alcorn State for a 5:30 pm tip from the Davey L. Whitney Complex on Monday night with the game being carried on the Hornet Sports Network.
Tia Sanders leads Alcorn State (7-10, 3-3 SWAC) at 16.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Alexus Freeman is averaging 15.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, while dishing out a team-high 76 assists. The Lady Braves won their last game against UAPB, a game in which Miracle Rushing recorded a 21-point and15-rebound double-double in the win.
The game Saturday will be carried on the Hornet Sports Network, with pregame set for 2:45 pm.
