Krysta Medearis has been steady all season and is third in the conference in total points (260.5) and fourth in total kills (223). In her last 10 matches, she has accounted for double-digit kills on eight occasions and is hitting at an impressive .204 clip.
Southern Miss enters Tuesday's match 10-10 overall and 4-3 in Conference USA. The Golden Eagles swept Louisiana Tech, 3-0, in their most recent match. Southern Miss and Alabama State have three common opponents (Alabama, South Alabama and Southern Miss). They fell by identical 3-0 scores to Alabama and South Alabama and were victorious over Alcorn State, 3-1.
