PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas | The Alabama State soccer team saw its season come to a close following a hard-fought 1-0 loss to top-seeded Grambling State on Friday in the semifinals of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament.
Alabama State (7-11) struggled to get going offensively; however, the Lady Hornets were very organized defensively, allowing the Tigers seven shots in the first half.
Grambling State (14-7) broke through in the 83rd minute when Jasmine Smith was able to connect on a goal off of a deflection from goalkeeper Gianna Guyot for the game's only goal.
The Lady Hornets finished the night with four shots.
