SEATTLE, Wash. | Alabama State senior offensive lineman
Tytus Howard earned his second All-America selection Wednesday, earning First Team honors as a HERO Sports All-America.
Howard, who was invited to the Reese's Senior Bowl, earned the honor by playing in 10 of the 11 contests this season. Howard was matched up against some of the best in the country at defensive end, allowing just one sack and grading out at an average of 90-plus for the season; while playing both left and right tackle.

He was one of six players from the conference, and 13 players from an HBCU selected to one of the three different teams honored by HERO Sports. Howard was the lone first team selection, but was joined on the Second Team by Mississippi Valley State return specialist Booker Chambers. The duo was joined by Alcorn State's defensive back Qwynnterrio Cole as an honorable mention All-Sophomore selection, UAPB wide receiver DeJuan Miller as a First Team All-Freshman selection, Southern defensive lineman Jordan Lewis as an honorable mention All-Freshman team selection, and Texas Southern wide receiver Tren'Davian Dickson as an honorable mention All-Sophomore team selection.
They were joined by seven members from the MEAC.
