Skyler Sullivan got the start for Alabama State and worked 2.1 innings, allowing two runs off of five hits.
Justine Jean came on in relief of Sullivan and went 3.2 innings out of the bullpen, allowing three runs off of four hits.
Alabama State (4-8) fell in the nightcap to Southeast Missouri State 14-1, scoring their lone run on a
Charlene Castro home run in the second inning.
The Lady Hornets will compete in a two game contest, Saturday against Western Illinois at 10 am and Western Michigan at 12:30 pm.
