MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State dropped a 6-1 non-conference decision to Troy at the Lunsford Tennis Complex Tuesday afternoon.
Alabama State (10-7, 8-0 SWAC) started strong after picking up the doubles point with wins at two and three with the team of
Lea Krajcovicova/
Gabriela Lackova and
Mirna Curcic/
Marija Blazevic. The Lady Hornets were able to pick up a lone victory in singles play, at number two singles.
Reka Szentes claimed a 6-4, 3-6, 10-5 victory over Troy's Efriliya Herlina.
Alabama State returns to action April 5 at Samford, in the final regular season match remaining of the season as the team prepares for the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) tournament in nine days.
