MONTGOMERY, Ala. | As anticipation builds for the 2018 Alabama State football season, the Alabama State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will hold an event for all current season ticket holders, the "Season Ticket Bash," August 18 in the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.

The event, which runs from 4 to 6 pm, will celebrate the upcoming year in BamaStateStyle, with food and fellowship. Additionally, the fun and festivities will include a T-shirt giveaway to current season ticket holders and an autograph session. Food will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Head football coach Donald Hill-Eley has the Hornet Nation abuzz following a 5-1 record to close the 2017 campaign, and an experienced roster that was recently picked to finish second in the Southwestern Athletic Conference's Eastern Division.

Alabama State opens the season at home against Tuskegee September 1 in the Labor Day Classic, with kick set for 5 pm. Season tickets and single game tickets are now sale for the 2018 season. The Hornets play four home games during the campaign with Jackson State, Texas Southern and Mississippi Valley State joining Tuskegee.
