MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State ended a six-match losing streak, picking up their second home victory of the season with a 7-0 victory over North Alabama at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center Sunday afternoon.

Alabama State (2-6) swept all nine matches played, winning the doubles en route to picking up the win.

Inside doubles play against North Alabama
Alabama State swept doubles play against North Alabama, losing no more than four games in any of the three matches.

The Hornets picked up identical 6-3 wins at number two and three doubles behind the number two doubles team of Tomas Fernandez and Carl-Louis Luckmann, and the number three doubles team of Chris Andre and Juan Rodriguez.

The number one doubles team of Ion Efrim and Alexis Collard picked up a 6-4 victory over North Alabama's Jason Pimenta and Oscar Meslin.

Inside singles play against North Alabama
The Hornets dropped just two sets in picking up six wins in singles play, dropping a set at number two singles and number six singles.

Carl-Louis Luckmann picked up his first singles win of the spring with a 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 victory over Oscar Meslin at number two singles, while Juan Rodriguez picked up his first collegiate win in singles play with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over North Alabama's Andreas Hansen at number five.

Ion Efrim picked up another win at number one singles, a 6-3, 6-2 victory; while Alexis Collard continued his winning streak with a 6-1, 6-4 victory at number three singles.

Alabama State returns to action Saturday, February 16 against Jacksonville State at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
