BATON ROUGE, La. | Alabama State remaining undefeated in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play, with a 4-0 win over Jackson State at the SWAC Roundup hosted by Southern University Saturday morning.

Alabama State picked up wins at number two, three, four and six for the win – with two matches remaining unfinished.

Maria Popova picked up the first win of the day for the Lady Hornets with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Oni Jones; before Lea Krajcovicova picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win over Nina Zhang for the 2-0 overall lead. The lead grew to 3-0 when Gabriela Lackova picked up a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Maria Martinez at number three singles.

Urska Velec clinched the match for the Lady Hornets with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Ariel Dickson at number six singles.
