MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State completed the sweep of Mississippi Valley State, 4-0, Wednesday afternoon at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.

Alabama State (5-8, 3-0 SWAC) has not lost a conference match in two-plus years, and stayed unbeaten as they did not drop a single game during the afternoon match. The Hornets got sweeps in singles play from Ion Efrim (number one), Alejo Calvis (number four) and Carl-Louis Luckmann (number five) before the other matches were halted due to the team score.

The Hornets also swept in doubles play, with wins at numbers two and three, before the match at number one was halted.

Alabama State returns to action March 15 at home against Alcorn State in the second SWAC Pod of the season. The Pod will be hosted at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center and Montgomery's Lagoon Park.
