MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State remained undefeated in both men's and women's tennis action with sweeps over Alcorn State at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center Friday afternoon.

The Alabama State (6-8, 5-0 SWAC) women won easily over Alcorn State, 4-0, after capturing the doubles point. The Lady Hornets won at number one doubles 6-4, before the team of Reka Szentes and Urska Velec captured a 6-1 victory at number – giving the Lady Hornets a 1-0 lead.

In singles play, Alabama State got wins from Szentes at number one, Lea Krajcovicova at number three and Gabriela Lackova at number four – all in straight sets to wrap up the win.

Alabama State picked up the doubles point, before getting three wins in singles play – all in straight sets. Alexis Collard picked up another win at number three singles, as did Tomas Fernandez at number four and Alejo Calvis at number six.
