MONTGOMERY, Ala. | For the second consecutive day in the SWAC Pod, Alabama State swept their conference opponent by identical 4-0 scores at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.

The Alabama State (7-8, 6-0 SWAC) women won easily over Prairie View A&M, 4-0, after capturing the doubles point. The Lady Hornets won at number one doubles 6-4, before the team of Chloe Kabamba and Marija Blazevic captured a 6-4 victory at number three – giving the Lady Hornets a 1-0 lead.

In singles play, Alabama State got wins from Reka Szentes at number one, Maria Popova at number two and Lea Krajcovicova at number three – all in straight sets to wrap up the win.

Alabama State picked up the doubles point, before getting three wins in singles play – all in straight sets. Ion Efrim picked up a win at number one, while Alejo Calvis won at number six and Juan Rodriguez clinched at number five singles.
