MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State picked up three singles victories to finish off their third sweep of the weekend in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) tennis action, defeating Grambling State 4-0 at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center Sunday afternoon.
Alabama State (8-8, 7-0) got off to a quick start in doubles as they grabbed the point by dropping just two games in the two matches that decided the overall point. The Lady Hornets got wins at number two with the team of
Gabriela Lackova and
Lea Krajcovicova picking up a 6-1 victory, before winning at number three.
The Lady Hornets picked up three wins in straight sets Sunday afternoon from the bottom three positions in the order.
Worthy Goldman (number four singles),
Marija Blazevic (number five singles) and
Chloe Kabamba (number six) all picked up wins for Alabama State.
