Jackson, Miss. | Alabama State will face Jackson State in their final 2018-19 regular season Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) contest on Saturday afternoon. Tip is set for 3 pm inside of Lee E. Williams Athletic & Activity Center.
Alabama State (11-17, 10-7 SWAC) is coming off of a 63-45 loss at Grambling in which
Tatyana Calhoun led the Lady Hornets with 10 points, while
Armani Smith hauled in a career-high eight rebounds and two assists in the loss.
Jackson State (15-13, 11-6 SWAC) is on a five game winning streak after defeating Alabama A&M 69-51 on Thursday. Marniesha Hamer led all scorers with 26 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the floor, while Christina Ellis chipped in 17 points in the win.

- Ayana Emmanuel leads the Lady Hornets offense, averaging 13.8 points and 4.1 rebounds per game, while Jayla Crawford is at 12.0 points.
- Shmya Ward is averaging 10.2 points and snagging 7.2 rebounds per contest for the Lady Hornets.
- Alabama State currently sits at the sixth seed in the conference with a record of 10-7.
JACKSON STATE REPORT
- The Lady Tigers are averaging 69.6 points per game, while its opponents are averaging 66.1 points.
- Hamers leads the Jackson State offense at 16.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, followed by Ellis at 14.0 points and 3.7 boards per game.
- Jackson State is currently in a three-way tie for the third seed with Grambling State and Texas Southern.
