MONTGOMERY, Ala. | With just two regular season matches remaining on the 2019 schedule, Alabama State made quick work of Florida A&M as they swept the visiting Rattlers to set up Senior Day on Sunday.

On the women's side, Alabama State claimed a 4-2 victory after claiming the doubles point with a 6-2 win at number one doubles by Reka Szentes and Urska Velec. The Lady Hornets picked up wins at number four singles (Gabriela Lackova) and number six singles (Velec), before Worthy Goldman picked up a 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 victory at number five singles.

Meanwhile, on the men's side, Alabama State picked up a 4-1 non-conference win over Florida A&M behind three wins in singles play. The Hornets claimed the doubles point after wins at number one (Ion Efrim/Alexis Collard) and number two (Chris Andre/Juan Rodriguez). The Hornets picked up singles wins at number one (Efrim) and number three (Collard), before the match was clinched with a 6-4, 6-3 victory by Rodriguez at number five singles.
