MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State head football coach Donald Hill-Eley will miss the start of preseason camp due to a positive COVID-19 test.

Upon returning from the holiday break and in accordance with standard University and Athletic Department COVID-19 testing protocols after a positive test result, Eley has followed the University's isolation protocols.

Eley has not been in physical contact with players or his staff since returning from the holiday break.

Director of Football Operations, Joe Wright, will handle all off the field operations for camp that begins January 29, and Benton Harold will serve as the acting head coach on the field.
